Happy Halloween

Well I have had a hard time getting into the spirit this year. But maybe once I dress Jamie up again tonight in her costume I will get back into it. Once again I have to thank Trish for lending me such an awesome costume. I have gotten so many complements. Well since I don't really have any Halloween pics here are a couple from the pumpkin patch a few weeks back.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

Word for the Day...

DARNITSAUCE. Where did I get such a word from?? Well it came from Jamie. I think that she actually is getting it from SpongeBob Squarepants when he says "Tartersauce". But if you know my daughter at all you know that she does and says what SHE wants. Here is a wonderful example of how she uses this word, if you can call it that. Today her and I went into town to run some errands. We passed one of my normal nail shops and she said "Mom! I want to get my nails painted in the store". I said, "No, not today." Jamie said, "DARNITSAUCE!!" So there you go! LOL

Yes I LOVE me some Dancing with the Stars! Or maybe I just love Maksim! But whatever the case you know where I will be tonight at 8PM!

Anyways.....The treasure hunt is about to start at SWG So come play with us to win some awesome stuff from Paper Trunk!

I am sure I will be posting more later!

I scrapped today!

I got a couple LO's done today for some challenges at I am pretty happy with how they turned out. The first one is of me and my little cousin Lauren at the Justin Timberlake concert. YES I WENT. And YES I LOVED EVERY MINUTE! Ahh reminds me of my younger days and that OTHER boy band from 15+ years ago LOL.

And this one of Jeffrey. I had a great time making this one. Where'd my baby boy go?

It's not too late to come over and join me at for an awesome weekend long crop. We are starting off with Bingo this evening. Come over and say hi! You won't regret it

I learned a valuable lesson today!

DO NOT send your daughter to ART Day at Preschool with her hair NOT pulled back. Even though I was in class helping it did not dawn on me until we were home that Jamie's hair had been swimming in glue. A bunch of 3 and 4 year olds using glue on their own is bound to be a MESS! So hopefully I have saved at least 1 of you from making the same mistake that I did today!

Can she get any cuter? I'm not proud or anything! Gotta give a shoutout to Trish for handing down such an awesome costume! Just in case you missed it Jamie is Little Bo Peep.

Just doing his Job!

So my cousin is leaving for Iraq this week sometime. It makes me proud. Here is a kid who joined the Army right out of high school. Left for bootcamp a week after graduation and is off to serve his country and to fight for freedom at only 18. Please remember to keep him and ALL of our Men and Women in the armed forces in your thoughts! May they come home safe. Here is of me, Ashley, Jesse, Amanda and my sis Katie at Jesse's Graduation this last May

Did Someone say CROP????

Come join us this weekend at for an AWESOME Crop! Crop will be from Oct 26th-28th. You don't want to miss it!

New Contest at

Ok Jen has outdone herself with this one. Come check it out

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hunt for some hidden treasure? Well this month at Scrapping with Grace we will be doing just that! Each week (Nov. 1st (Thursday) and going through Thursday the 29th) You will have an opportunity to find the lost treasure from Paper Trunk.

Some of the lost treasures that Carrie from Paper Trunk has misplaced would be:
Batik Collection
Gigi Collection
And some of the super cool clear stamps!

Each week the lost treasure will change and you will have to search through 100 locked treasure boxes (locked threads on the board) trying to be the first to find the correct locked treasure box.

So how do you get a secret treasure box code?
Simple! For each box you want the code to, you will either have to scrap:

3 cards using 50% Paper trunk Product
1 Layout (8.5x11 or 12x12 in size) using 50% Paper Trunk Product
1 Altered Project using 50% Paper Trunk Product
* Week 2 on...if you use the chosen sketch (that Carrie from Paper Trunk chooses)then you will get 2 secret codes per layout!!!

*Other than the required 50% of Paper Trunk products on each project…there are no other weekly requirements…so you can scrap what you what and how you want!

After you complete this task you will private message to the Cap'n (Special Events Coordinator (Jen)) with a treasure box number and she will private message you back with the code to that treasure box. If you are right…you will put in the code and it will reveal a picture of the treasure…If you are not right…it will give you a “sorry please try again” and you will sign in letting others know you have already been there and then head back to creating more projects!

After the treasure is found there will be a new treasure hidden and the game will start again on the following Thursday. If by chance no one finds the treasure that week…then that treasure will be combined with the next treasure (making a bigger treasure to find for the following week)!

Now if all of that doesn’t sound exciting enough! Carrie from Paper Trunk will be checking in to see what you all are doing and will be picking her favorite layout, card and altered item made during the contest to feature on her site! She would also love to see your sketches! And will be picking a favorite sketch the first week of the contest! So if you are a sketcher submit your sketches between now and Nov.6th! (the chosen sketch will be revealed on the 8th of November!) The winner will then have their sketch used during the contest and will also be featured on Carrie’s Site!

Well see you on the boards!

Blimey! Now that’s exciting stuff!

* reserves the right to clarify any rules or questions that may come up during the contest.

I've been Tagged!!

Thanks Morgan! How fun. You can check out Morgan's blog at

Ok lets see if I can do this right being a newbie and all. I guess maybe this is the perfect opportunity to hear 7 random things about me since I am new to blogging.

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).

3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Ok Random Fact

#1 I will always eat my fries either before or after my burger and usually never at the same time. Weird enough for you? LOL

#2 I got my kids in the order I wanted them. Boy first then a girl

#3 I played soccer on a boys team when I was 15. I kicked ass!

#4 I have had the same best friend for 24 years. ( I am only 29)

#5 I met my husband through my mom's work. Hows that for a place to meet guys LOL!

#6 I am the oldest sibling and so is my DH.

#7 For those of you that don't know me well I am a total shopping nut.

So I guess that is all pretty random right?

Ok now for those who are getting tagged!

Jen W.

Thanks again Morgan! And I can't wait to see what my Tag(ees) post

I am off to a benefit dinner in a bit. Have a great evening. Tomorrow I will be at CMK all day for the crop.

I love Fridays! Especially Fridays that are Bunco night. I am soooo looking forward to an evening with my girlfriends. I have been busy working on some classes for the crop next weekend at Scrappin With Grace. I am pretty happy with how things came out. Here are a couple sneak peeks for the class...

Hopefully I have sparked enough interest that you will join us next weekend Oct. 27-28 for a weekend full of crop fun!

Are YOU in the mood?

Ok so usually by this time of year I am all ready for the holidays to come. I always have my house decorated for Halloween. Um, not this year. I have pumpkins out from the pumpkin patch but that is it. Does that count you think? LOL I don't know what the deal is this year. I guess life has been too busy to take the time to decorate and get in the mood. That or I am too lazy to climb to the back of the attic to pull down all my decorations. At this point maybe I should just wait for christmas. That gets to be a bigger job every year. I think I am up to 12 boxes of christmas decor alone. GEEZ! So anyways the most festive I have gotten for this fall and Halloween has got to be this layout I did of Jamie and Ashley. This was a DT assignment at the LSB but since it seems that I (as well as the rest of the team) have been removed from there you guys get to see it here! I am not one who typically uses halloween themed papers. But I am happy with how it turned out.

Today you get Pictures

So Jeffrey brought home his school pic yesterday. My baby is getting so big. So I just had to show off my handsome little man. Plus this morning was Jamie's picture day at preschool which I almost forgot. So I hope those turn out. Next is a trip to the picture people so we can get J and Ash's halloween pics. So I guess you can say that October will be the month for pictures of my kids.

You know yesterday I had the perfect thing in mind to talk about today, but guess what? I don't remember what it was! I know I know I should have wrote it down. Well yesterday I had a wonderful visit with my Dear Friend Cari! I miss my high school friends. We don't get the chance to see each other very often. So I treasure the moments we do have. Especially now that we have all started a new chapter in our lives. We are all finally married and now on to babies. I can't wait to see my friends become parents. Speaking of babies, here is a layout I did of my dear sweet Jamie from when she was a couple months old.

Sunday, October 14, 2007

Well I haven't had a chance to do much scrapping this weekend. It ended up being busier than I thought. Off to go pick up my kids from my parents in a little while. First, I am going to go have lunch with a dear friend. I hope you all have had a pleasant weekend.

Friday, October 12, 2007

Well since I created this place around my scrapping I figure I should at least share some current Layouts that I have completed.

This is one of my current faves. Papers are from Daisy D's and I did the stitching free hand on my machine.

The Start of Something New

OK so I might be one of the last people on earth to have a blog. Whatever I am here now and that is all that counts. I have put off creating my own blog for a few reasons.

#1 My Dear husband already thinks I spend too much time in "The Cave"
#2 I wasn't sure how good I would be at keeping it updated
#3 I am inseparable from my computer as it is

Ok so maybe #1 and #3 go hand in hand.

But here I am. Are you ready for me and all my cave postings?
