Just a quick Update

Well the weather has finally gotten nasty here. Last night the power went out, and around 1:15 am it came back on. So I woke up and went to go find a battery backup for my alarm clock. I reset the time and the alarm so I didn't oversleep when it came time to wake Jeffrey up for school. So as soon as I get comfortable one of the smoke detectors started to beep. Ours are hardwired into the house with a battery back up. So once again I get out of bed to go reset the dectector hoping that will fix the problem. Thankfully it did but then I could NOT fall back asleep. Our bedroom faces the side where all the wind hits the house. So all I could hear was the rain being smacked up against the house. Now I can sleep thru a nice peaceful rainstorm but not when it is gusty. And my dear sweet husband is completely oblivious to it all. So I try to hunker down with a pillow over my head. I finally fall back asleep like an hour later. I guess that is all part of being a mom LOL!

Ok well I finally have a LO to share with you all. I did it for the Monthly challenge over at http://www.cropaddict.com/. We were challenged to do a Layout of one of our holiday traditions. The scan makes it a little blurry but I am still happy with how it turned out.

Here are a couple pics of My favorite girls and me from the Xmas party last weekend

I hope you all have a great weekend filled with lots of scrapping!!

Those darn smoke detectors, just can't catch a break huh! Good thing they are so useful or I'd have chucked mine by now! Hehe...

Sorry you had such a horrible night!!! Hope you have a better one too. I set my smoke alarm everytime I cook...not because I'm burning anything (at least most of the time) but because they are so darn sensitive. :)

Oo sounds loke a doozy of a storm! We had one that went on for 2 days. The wind kept my little girls up with each "SLAM!" Into the house. The gusts were horrible!
I hope that you can catch up on that lost sleep!

oh man, our old house had the smoke detector hard wired as well. SO ANNOYING when the power goes out! I'm not sure if we had a reset button or if I was just a dunce and didn't know that pushing that would turn the stupid thing off. We always just had to deal with the dumb beep till the power came back :(

Hey is that Ali in your last photo? I miss her! How is she doing?
